Tidi will also be attending the International Home and Houseware Show in Chicago from March 6th - 8th.

University of Limerick Product Design Graduate, James Carroll joins the Tidi team in July 2010 as Head of Design. This highly talented designer brings a new vigour to the Tidi Design Department.

Fellow Design Graduate, Brendan Grogan joins the Tidi team as Assistant Designer in October 2010. We foresee great results in the future from our young, energetic design team.

• Tidi has been nominated by AIB as Outstanding Business of the Year 2009, in the SFA National Small Business Awards. The winner will be announced in January with the Awards Cermony held in March where the Taoiseach will make the presentations. The following is an extract from SFA.
  
  All participants in the awards programme will benefit from an extensive SFA media and PR programme both regionally and nationally. In addition all finalists will receive a full day Interactive Media Skills training programme which will take place in a purpose built state of the art media training studio. This will ensure that companies will be prepared for and achieve maximum benefit from the SFA's extensive media and PR Programme. Finalists will also have a profile in a specially commissioned Irish Independent supplement and will also feature on Newstalk's popular Down to Business Saturday show. The culmination of prizes at an awards ceremony in March next year will be the presentation of awards along with a year's SFA membership to each category winner and a lifetime SFA membership to the overall SFA National Small Business winner 2010.

• Tidi would like to congratulate James Malone and Joseph Crennan, winners of the Tidi UL Design Competition. The brief for the competition was to design a product which would improve the life of a home keeper while doing the laundry. There were many excellent entries but their project was chosen as the winner as it ticked all the boxes; it was a clever product backed up by great research and design.

• Tidi would like to congratulate William Brennan, Carol Grimes, Richard Mullins and Anthony J. Shannon, winners of the Tidi D.I.T. Design Competition. The brief for the competition was to design a product which would improve the life of a parent with a child up to 24 months old. They were chosen as winners for their excellent design, which was based on extensive research and resulted in a great product which would appeal to any parent.
